Govt kicks off auction of 24 coal blocks with slew of liberal rules.ET reports.

Power, steel and cement companies can mortgage coal blocks to raise money from banks without taking approval from the central government, according to tender documents prepared by the government.

Wake up,my Hungry country!Freedom mortgaged! Sovereignty mortgaged!

Only this morning I was stranded midway into a Bengali cinema channel as I stumbled to see eminent and my favourite Director Gautam Ghosh performing so much so well as a representative poet of the Hungry generation representing Indian poetry in sixties.

The film is Baieshe Shrabon.Gautamda eclipsed actors Like Prashenjit and Parambrata as the character represented Indian poetry as a whole what it has been.It is reminiscent of Biajan Bhattachary in Ritwik Ghatak films or the mile stone theatre performance Nabanna.

As a nation we ,the people of India, tend to commit suicide as our peasantry has no escape route.

We,as a nation,we,the people of India committed a Himalayan blunder to help creating the shafron tsunami to kill the nature and humanity.

We,as a nation,we,the people of India committed a Himalayan blunder to have mandated Hindu Imperialism to tag us as Hundred percent Hindu demography killing non Hindus in an unprecedented ethnic cleansing supported by free flow of foreign capital, foreign forces and foreign intelligence thanks to United States of America which treats us as its periphery and Israel, the zionist hegemony which aligned with the Manusmriti hegemony in India to set India on fire!

As I focused on the timing of the massacre in tribal Assam pitting two sets of Adivasi people against one another on line of Salawa Judum and wrote in my last write up that it might be planned as it happened just after the conclusion of the winter session.Conversion drive deleted the news about legislation, parliamentary affairs and policy making.

Thus, the brutal killing helps the hegemony to enact anesthesia once again with cold blooded killing of Non Aryan population which seems as mandatory as RSS declared to make India free of Islam and Christiniaty and RSS and VHP jointly launched a campaign right from kolkata decalaring to adjust Indian demography as Hundred percent population which means no non Hindu beside Muslim and Christian, ie Sikh,Buddhist,Jaini,Parsi and even the Jews would be spared either.

Eventually, the Non Aryana Indian People demonised and segregated for thousands of years happen to be Non Hindus and also racially quite different.

They must be killed at a time while reforms could not be implemented in the Parliament and US  President Barack Obama has to reach India in January to celebrate the genocide carnival, the RSS government has no option to issue one after one ordinance.

This bloody killing helps to skip the focus on Ordinance Raj as media headlines have to scream with bleeding headlines from Assam where from RSS  declared the agenda of Hindu Nation to be accomplished with the deadline 2021.

The prime minister of India, Narendra Bhai Modi has the agenda to extend his Gujarat countrywide and worked overtime to divide and polarize on religious identity with high voltage hate campaign of deportation of so called migrants and outsiders East and Northeast, hitherto invincible as Amit Sah declared in a language of Alexander ,the great that Bharat Bijay is quite incomplete if Bengal is not won.

Her you are!

It is all about RSS agenda of ethnic cleansing! Salwa Judum.Making in India a full bloom Gujarat! An united States of America! An Israel!

Tarun Gogoi stays with continuous failure to stop racial ethnic cleansing!

No relief in Assam camps while Bengal CM rushed to the Assamese refugee camp in Bengal!

Chief secretary was located in Kaziranga enjoying elephant safari!

No Assam Official, administrative or Police, reached the venues of the genocide,No army action until the killers had enough time to disappear from the targeted net of the so much so hyped Operation All Clear by the national media which wipes out every information about legislation, policy making and the real impact of neoliberal reforms amount to total black out and engages itself in a massive disinformation campaign to invoke hundred percent Hindutva.

Home minister of India camped in Assam. No result.

The Army Chief camped in Assam! No Result.

Thus,I wrote last dairy in my diary,ASSAM JHANKI HAI,BANGAAL BAAKI HAI.

I was browsing news channels as the cable operator has changed the set top box and news seems lost in the sea of entertainment channels.

Generally,I have hardly anytime to see a movie these days. But I saw Anand Patwardhan masterpiece last day once again working on my PC just opening the You Tube.

In the Name of God / Ram Ke Naam (1991) Documentary Film by Anand Patwardhan

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgPIKwXRNEg

Recently I also enjoyed Jatiswar, another Bengali film thanks to Sabitababu who was watching it skipping discovery and National Geography and Animal Planet.

The film is visual medium .It has the best avenues to communicate the masses who we do fail to address at any level.I have a combined sense of a tsunami within me having seen these three films.

LK Adwani is the key man and we should not afford to forget him as the mastermind of Hindu Imperialism.RSS might have opted to honour him as Bharat Ratna as it failed to incarnate him as the Kalki Avatar.Patwardhane film showcased the episodes of Babri demolition so well.Cinema of resistance should take care to circulate the film everywhere in resistance.

Jatiswar is about the Sahib Bengali legendary poet Antony firangi and his rebirth whose Hindu wife was burnt alive just because he dared to worship kali and Durga as he was a Non Hindu Mlechha, untouchable.Prasenjit played the role of the protagonist and it is yet another milestone performance after Chokher Bali and Maner Manush.I am afraid to say that Indian Film industry has missed to use his talent so potential to communicate its commitment and concern to the audience countrywide.

Meanwhile, paving way for additional foreign investment in insurance and to move ahead with the re-allocation of cancelled coal mines, President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday signed the two ordinances in this regard.

The government had decided to promulgate these ordinances to move ahead with reforms in the two sectors, as respective bills could not get through during the just-concluded Parliament Session that ended on Tuesday.

Mind you, India is weighing dropping its pro-Palestinian stance at the United Nations!

Indian daily "The Hindu" quotes two Indian government sources as saying that a change in India's voting pattern was being considered.

Netanyahu and Modi

The Jerusalem Post adds:

The report in The Hindu came the same day that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, decrying in the weekly cabinet meeting anti-Israel and anti-Semitic sentiment rife in parts of Europe, said Israel was working to "advance and develop new alliances and partnerships, for example with countries in Asia, Latin America, Africa and other places in the world."

Israeli diplomatic officials could not confirm the report that the Indian government was weighing a change in its voting pattern at the UN. There is speculation that India's Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj will come to Israel next month, and if that is the case then this issue is surely one that would be raised.

Netanyahu met with Modi on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in September, and said the "sky's the limit" in Israeli-Indian ties. This was the first meeting between the prime ministers of the two countries in 11 years.

A significant upgrade in the relations was largely expected after Modi – who visited Israel in 2006 as the chief minister in the western state of Gujarat – won the elections in the spring. Modi knows Israel, appreciates its economic success and is well aware of what it can offer, beyond the traditional realm of diamonds and military hardware. When he was the chief minister in Gujarat, trade ties expanded into the realms of solar power, water management and pharmaceuticals.

Modi's appointment of Swaraj as foreign minister was welcomed in Jerusalem, since she served from 2006 to 2009 as chairwoman of the Indo-Israeli Parliamentary Friendship Group, and visited the country in 2008, praising Israel at the time for proving a "reliable partner" in India's 1999 war with Pakistan.

During Operation Protective Edge last summer, the Modi government pushed back against a move to condemn Israel in parliament, and Jerusalem was – for the most part – satisfied with the public position New Delhi took during the campaign.

The one major exception was India's vote in UN Human Rights Council in favor of sending a probe to investigate the Gaza operation.

On Friday, Modi posted a twitter message, in both Hebrew and English, that read, "wishing my Jewish friends a Happy Hanukka! May this Festival of Lights and the festive season ring in peace, hope and well-being for all."

Netanyahu responded with a tweet in Hindi and English thanking Modi – "on behalf of all the people of the nation of Israel" – for his Hanukka greeting.

http://www.jpost.com/Arab-Israeli-Conflict/New-Delhi-considering-changing-policy-of-automatic-support-for-Palestinians-at-UN-385398

"Like other foreign policy issues, the [Prime Minister Narendra] Modi government is looking at India's voting record at the United Nations on the Palestinian issue," a government source told The Hindu, an Indian daily newspaper, adding that the U.N. policy change only needs an "administrative nod."

The report indicates that India would shift from voting for the Palestinian cause to one of abstention. India and Israel have enjoyed increasingly close military and economic cooperation over the past two decades. With the election of Modi earlier this year, many speculated that Israel-India ties would grow due to Modi's personal and business ties with the Jewish state, dating to his time as chief minister of one of India's wealthiest and industrialized states.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Modi met for the first time last September on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly meeting in New York to discuss bilateral ties and Iran's nuclear program. Last week, Modi also sent out Hanukkah greetings to his "Jewish friends" via his Twitter account.

"May this Festival of Lights and the festive season ring in peace, hope, and well-being for all," Modi wrote.

The move by India comes as the Palestinians have indicated their intent to push for unilateral statehood recognition in several international bodies. At the same time, several of Israel's long-standing allies in Europe have passed non-binding legislative resolutions calling for recognition of Palestinian statehood.

Surjit Bhalla explained the RSS Gov crisis very well in Indian Express!

Pl read:

Just look at the myriad irrelevant controversies that the ostensibly popular Narendra Modi-led BJP has allowed itself to be dragged into over the last few months. First it was Teachers' Day in September, then "love jihad" and non-Hindus as "haramzadas" in October, then Sanskrit requirement in November, and now Good Governance Day in December. Good god, what can we expect in January?

Parliament was held up for several days and no bills passed in opposition-ruled Rajya Sabha because of some of these excursions by the Modi government. It has now come to pass that even when the RSS might controversially not be in the wrong, as on voluntary conversions, the opposition is able to stage it as the inevitable rise of communal discord, communal tension, or worse. (My next article will discuss the conversion controversy in detail).

The BJP has literally no one to blame except itself for the rapid loss of "approval" that it is facing at the hands of the electorate. Of course, it is winning elections, but that is not because people love the BJP more, but because they hate the opposition, especially the Congress, even more.

SurjitBhalla04

More FromSurjit S Bhalla

An analogy from the discussion of economic growth rates, which was a favourite topic of the BJP and Prime Minister Modi, might help. Prior to the election (and even post), Congress leaders thumped their chest and said that India, growing at 5 per cent, was the second fastest growing economy in the world. So look at what a fantastic job we have done, so fantastic that we should be elected for another term.

The BJP retorted (and many of us agreed) that this reasoning was disingenuous at best, and downright stupid at worst. What was relevant was not the absolute growth rate of India, or any other country, but the departure of this growth rate from potential. And given that even the Congress agreed that India's potential growth rate was around 8.5 per cent, the Congress had achieved the impossible by bringing India's growth rate to nearly half its potential. The voters agreed and the Congress was sent hurtling towards only 44 seats.

The BJP has done fantastically well in the post-May elections. But is this performance not "equivalent" to India growing at only 5 per cent? Had the distractions with a communal flavour  not been there, the BJP would have done a lot better than "grow at 5 per cent". The BJP's potential was to have at least 5-10 per cent more seats in each of the state elections it has contested, including some seats in Kashmir. With these victories, it could now go about achieving and fulfilling the much-promised growth and governance agenda. And it could have honoured Atal Bihari Vajpayee with greater eloquence and tribute than to call December 25 continued…

Narendra Modi and Indian Economy 2014

Posted by Ayyappa Prasad on December 28, 2014 in Business, Exclusive, Headlines, India, National, News · 0 Comments

New Delhi,Dec 28 (TruthDive): Narendra Modi and his knowledge of economics is so short that it can be written at the back of a postal stamp, was the jibe by P Chidambaram who had presented nine budgets.

Narendra Modi and Jaitley's economics knowledge combined is limited, the next best step is a continuation of Chidambaram's policies. As the year comes to a close, Indian economy report card shows that the growth rate is the worst in the last decade.

As the reasons for the down-slide during UPA2 regime were that it was the coalition politics, policy paralysis and flip-flop on taxation had alienated investors coming from abroad. With a single majority in Parliament, things should have been different but now it seems to be stuck in logjams. Thanks to Sangh Parivar agenda.

Foreign investments in equity markets continued to flow in and critics (read BJP) said that this was a serious matter as there would be a flight of capital if US markets make a turnaround. On this count, the latest is that FII are pulling out more than investing and it is the domestic investors who are playing more in stocks.

Stock markets reached dizzy heights but no fresh investments are coming in. Only proposals that were pending are getting cleared. Manufacturing sector, recording the lowest, means that no jobs are being created.

CAD was kept under tight leash as Chidambaram increased duties on gold imports. When he took over from Mukherjee, CAD was above 5%, which no economy allows. CAD means that you spend more in buying and get less from selling overseas. As the oil prices dropped, import bills on fuel came down. CAD should have come down but did not as gold import rules were liberalised. The liberalization was off to curb smuggling. Now, there is a big hole in CAD and smuggling continues as usual.

RBI Governor Rajan says that India growth story will pick up in two years and as to Narendra Modi mantra to foreign investors to 'Make in India', he says that it is better to tell the companies to 'Make for India'.

Forex reserves have increased and are in a comfortable position. RBI is not biting the demand for repo rate cuts even with wholesale price index dropping to 0%. Easing of labour laws, women's safety and education sector reforms were the big announcements. The taxation woes of Vodafone have more or less cleared after it got a favourable court order. Government decided to not challenge it.

One thing that hit UPA badly was what it termed judicial activism in money matters and CAG playing to the gallery. Telecom and coal sectors in particular were hit by court orders. BJP who went by CAG reports now says that the auditor should not write reports to create headlines.

Narendra Modi and his men were for dumping Aadhaar. As it was turning into an election issue, Congress put it on hold. Now after hearing out the man who created the scheme, Narendra Modi felt that it was the game changer.

Narendra Modi government inherited a whooping bill left unpaid by Chidambaram who ended his tenure of having put down the fiscal deficit below 5%. PSUs like Coal India contributed Rs 18,000 crore to the treasury. Rs 1 lakh crore worth under recoveries from oil companies and another Rs 8000 crore for adding three more LPG cylinders under subsidy scheme completes the legacy that Narendra Modi inherited.

BJP which made a big issue of UPA Aviation ministry helping Jet Airways to get fund infusion to stay afloat, is now bending backwards to see that SpiceJet does not fold up. More flip-flops can be expected from Narendra Modi sarkar and Chidambaram will have the last laugh.

Winners can mortgage mines to raise money

Govt kicks off auction of 24 coal blocks with slew of liberal rules

Power, steel and cement companies can mortgage coal blocks to raise money from banks without taking approval from the central government, according to tender documents prepared by the government.

The government on Saturday kicked off the auction of 24 coal blocks by releasing tender documents that allow winning companies to mortgage a coal mine for availing finance for an attached end use project (power, cement or steel plant) or mining operations without approval from the central government. The government has also allowed companies to sell end-use plants along with coal mines while permitting bidders to change the composition of joint ventures after getting permission from a body under the coal ministry.

Existing norms governing mining leases allow mortgage of captive coal blocks, but with the approval of the host state and the central government. No company has so far availed the opportunity, though. Reliance Power's application to mortgage two coal blocks — Moher and Moher Amlhori Extension — attached with the Sasan ultra mega power project in Madhya Pradesh are pending with the coal ministry.

The bid documents provide that in case of default, banks can invoke the security and a future allottee should meet the government's eligibility sion from a body under the coal ministry.

The bid documents provide that in case of default, banks can invoke the security and a future allottee should meet the government's eligibility conditions to own a mine. Earlier, the government had planned to prohibit the transfer of mining lease and any change in composition of joint venture companies. The draft bid documents circulated for comments of stakeholders also did not allow modification of bids or withdrawal before the due date. Now, besides transferring the lease and tweaking the structure of JVs, bidders can also modify their bids or withdraw from the auction before the last date. The only rub is that companies that withdraw will be barred from auction for one year. A successful bidder can also pay in three instalments against the earlier one-time payment.

Plot[edit]

Several murders have taken place throughout Kolkata, for which a serial killeris believed responsible. The murderer strikes in accordance with verses ofBengali poetry, which he leaves next to the victims. The police are baffled; chief detective Abhijit Pakrashi (Parambrata Chatterjee) struggles to solve the case, which takes a toll on his relationship with girlfriend Amrita Mukherjee (Raima Sen). Pakrashi's superior brings back an ex-cop, Prabir (Prosenjit Chatterjee), to help solve the case. Prabir, earlier suspended for his violent methods, is notoriously ill-tempered and foul-mouthed. Prabir and Pakrashi work together, while Amrita (a television journalist) and colleague Surya Sinha (Abir Chatterjee) research serial killers for a series whose thirteenth—and final—episode will be about a contemporary murderer. Meanwhile, eccentric poet Nibaron Chakraborty (Gautam Ghosh)—who considers himself part of the Hungry Generation—wanders Kolkata at night reciting poems.

Researching serial killers, Amrita visits a prison where the warden remembers Rafique Ahmed and his only confidant in 18 years of imprisonment: Nibaron Chakraborty. She and Surya go to Nibaron's house to question him; after being greeted by his servant, Swapan, they are convinced he is insane when Nibaron says he has a meeting with "Rabindranath". They almost succeed in learning about Rafique when Surya angers him by mentioning the book-fair arson for which he was imprisoned.

While investigating the case, Pakrashi sees Amrita and Surya together. Jealous and drunk, Abhijit goes to Prabir's house and pours out his heart; he tells Prabir that he lost his father at a young age, and tries to avoid alcohol because of what it did to his father. Prabir tells Pakrashi that he went to work the day after losing his wife and child, encouraging him to be strong. Surya takes Amrita to a cemetery, telling her he would propose in a few days. They end up in a police station after a police officer sees them (and is slapped by Amrita). Pakrashi, still tipsy, rescues them when the inspector recognises Amrita as his girlfriend and they reconcile.

The next day, while randomly discussing poets and poems, Prabir and Pakrashi deduce that the killer strikes on the death anniversaries of well-known Bengali poets. When they search all possible days the killer could strike, they discover that the next date is 29 June: Michael Madhusudan Dutt's death anniversary.

Amrita tells Pakrashi what she and Surya have been doing, including the interview with Nibaron. This convinces him that Nibaron is the killer, especially when Swapan tells Prabir he is now afraid of his employer.

Pakrashi and Prabir watch Nibaron's house on the fateful night. A hooded figure comes out; it is Swapan, fleeing. In the house they discover that Nibaron has committed suicide, and the case is closed.

After a month or so, Rabindranath Tagore's death anniversary (Baishe Srabon) arrives. Prabir invites Pakrashi to meet a man named Rabindranath, and Pakrashi is surprised that "Swapan" is Prabir's servant Kaanai. Prabir admits that he was the mastermind behind the murders, with Kaanai (an ex-convict) carrying them out. He wanted to avenge the police force for his suspension, which he considered an insult to his hard work despite the loss of his family. After saying that today's would be the final killing, he shoots himself.
